Where do you find new clients?

Where do you find new clients? In community. But you get more than just new clients.

Starting your own company feels like a good idea. Until you start doing it.

It’s fucking hard. Why doesn’t anyone talk about that part very much?

👉Do you have moments where it feels like the weight of the world (aka your company) is on your shoulders?

👉Panic right before you go to bed because...fill in the blank?

👉Doubt creeping in that you shouldn’t have left your day job.

👉Your confidence plummets and you second guess everything your thinking.

Or is that just me?! 😳

All those inspirational Instagram accounts say….

  • “You’ve got this!”

  • “Believe in yourself!”

  • “Confidence builds empires”

  • “Hustle to success”

I’m sure you’ve seen some version of these.

The issue with these “you've got this” inspirational quotes? They put all the responsibility on our shoulders, a one-women, one-person show.

But we actually don’t do it all on our own, we can't. That’s not sustainable. You can try for a bit, I know I did. I’m a strong, independent lady and I set out to do it all on my own. I didn’t make it very far.

“Alone we can do little; together we can so so much.” -Helen Keller

We need community. Access to support. But it goes deeper than that. Having a space to give back to a community is always rewarding. It feels good to share your gifts and talents.

I once heard ‘being understood is an underrated pleasure’. I would argue it’s not only a pleasure to be understood or in other words finding your own community. Community is the lifeblood that makes your entrepreneur adventure actually work and be sustainable.

Your community, your online support, helps you fill in the blanks, those missing pieces and you can fill others missing pieces. 🧩

Here’s what I’ve gotten:

  • I have been a part of 3 online communities, actively, since I started my company.

  • An estimated 85% of my clients have come from these communities.

  • I have started 2 partnerships.

  • Launched 1 podcast.

  • Countless creative collaborative endeavors.

  • Incalculable “hivemind” knowledge to tap into and learn.

  • A platform to share my knowledge and teach others.

I could go on. My point is without a community I wouldn’t be where I am today.

🙏So today I want to thank 3 groups that have made an impact on my business 🙏

District Bliss - continues to offer quality webinars and space for knowledge sharing.

Creative Successful Entrepreneurs - has coached me through the low points and accelerated my companies successes.

Ventura Chamber of Commerce - has a community of people that lift each other up and refer within their community.

Find your niche of people and whatever you give, you'll get back tenfold.
